Two
charged with sexual assault
on old man
TWO
men, Edrick Adams nicknamed ‘Sanitary’, 38, and
Herman Persaud alias ‘Shine Goose’, 26, have been
charged with buggering
an 80-year-old man.
The
accused (no addresses given) yesterday appeared before
Magistrate Geeta Chandan at Reliance Court, Canje, but
were not required to plead to the indictable charge.
Particulars
of the offence said it was committed on the night of
October 7 at Strand, New Amsterdam, also in Berbice.
Police
said Adams, a labourer and Persaud, who described
himself as a beggar, were seen by passersby committing
the unnatural
sex act on the octogenarian.
Adams
and Persaud were refused bail and remanded in custody
until October 16.
