Five
IMPACT ranks reportedly
held for unauthorised
gambling den raid
-Chinese
nationals claim $700,000 stolen
Five IMPACT police ranks are reportedly under
close arrest for allegedly stealing over half a
million dollars during an unauthorised raid on a
gambling den in the city.
Sources said that the raid occurred a few days
ago and that the gamblers were all Chinese
nationals.
According to reports, the ranks, using a patrol
vehicle, raided the premises although no police
official had ordered them to.
It is alleged that the policemen ‘confiscated'
$700,000, but failed to lodge
the money.
However, the Chinese nationals filed a complaint
with police officials.
According to a source, they even provided
officials with the license number of the patrol
vehicle that the ranks used during the raid.
The alleged culprits were subsequently placed
under close arrest.
